Window Alert by WindowAlert
Do birds seemingly target your window, often getting hurt or dying? According to Cornell Lab of Ornithology, it's thought that birds hit windows because they see the landscape—trees, sky, clouds—reflected on the glass surface but do not realize that a hard, transparent surface lies between them and that apparent open space. Panicking birds, fleeing for cover to escape predators, are even more likely to fly into windows.
These decals contain a component which brilliantly reflects ultraviolet sunlight. This ultraviolet light is invisible to humans, but glows like a stoplight for birds. Birds have vision that is up to 12 times better than that of humans. These Window Alert decals help birds see windows and avoid striking the glass. This window decal that can be applied to any window.
WindowAlert recommends the following:
- WindowAlert decals may be used only on an exterior glass surface -- free of any overlay, tinting, film, or coating
- Place decals on the outside of the window. CONCENTRATE decals at the center and then work out, placing decals every few feet of glass.
- The UV coating may fade based on exposure and local elevation. Replace decals every 6 to 9 months.
